Panda Cam #1: National Zoo, Washington DC.
Watch this interesting live stream from the National Zoo, Washington DC. The two pandas in this video were taken from China on loan in 2000. Tian Tian and Mei Xiang will surely make your day with their playful nature.
Both pandas are a perfect match when tested during a breeding program in the institution. Fortunately, Mei Xiang has produced a lot of cubs, which is a good development.
Like other research centres, the National Zoo has made great progress in panda scientific research. One of them is ensuring the reproduction of cubs by the female panda Mei Xiang.

While in the wild, the giant pandas communicate with scents. They have a strong sense of smell. That’s why during the mating period, the female giant panda attracts the male through her scents. And she can be picky too.
Once a panda smells something different, it begins to react funnily and playfully by rolling on the floor. You wouldn’t want to miss out on this amazing view for anything in the world.
Panda Cam #3: Memphis, TN.
As of now, only three zoos in the United States have spaces to house giant pandas. Among them is The Memphis Zoo. The other two zoos are Zoo Atlanta and the National Zoo.
You’ll notice there are only two cute pandas in the enclosure. The male panda is Le Le while the female is named Ya Ya.
In 2003, both pandas were brought from China on a loan and will be in the facility until 2023.
Unfortunately, the female panda Ya Ya has not produced a cub through these years. Note that several attempts have been made by the zookeepers to ensure Ya Ya gives birth to as many cubs as possible. However, nothing seems to work.
There is still hope as research has been going on about panda reproduction over the years.
Panda Cam #4: San Diego Zoo, California.
This video cam is slightly different from the ones listed above. It is archived footage of the giant pandas’ Bai Yun and Xiao Liwu when they were in the San Diego Zoo.
Now, both adorable pandas have been taken back to China, where they were loaned from, according to the terms of agreement.
However, these recorded videos are the same as watching the giant pandas live.

It is not a giant panda cam but shows red pandas playing, eating and sleeping in the yard. Even though the two creatures are different in some ways, they share a lot of similarities, including their love for bamboo.
Just like giant pandas, the red pandas derive pleasure from eating bamboo. And there’s a general belief that the red pandas got the name “panda” because of their love for this plant.

Surprisingly, this panda cam is from the only zoo in Connecticut, Beardsley Zoo. The organization is concerned with the preservation of endangered animals such as giant pandas. And they are also interested in finding new ways to protect these species and their habitats.

Due to their poor reproductive ability, the pandas are going into extinction. We can call them endangered species. Fortunately, this facility was set up to prevent this from happening. And they have been amazing in taking care of the giant pandas.
One major duty of the panda keepers in this facility is to ensure the animals continue to increase in number. That’s why they make use of artificial breeding, conservation training, disease prevention, and genetics. And also, the keepers do a wonderful job of releasing the pandas from captivity.
While watching this video, you’ll notice that panda keepers provide lots of bamboo for the adorable animals to eat.
Since the enclosure is large, the pandas can be seen roaming around the environment, climbing wooden structures and playing with toys.

Panda Cam #9: Chengdu, China.
You are watching this live cam at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. If you are familiar with giant pandas, you would have heard of this facility several times. It is one of the most famous and largest panda enclosures in China.
There’s something special about this facility that you need to know. When The Chengdu Panda Base was founded in 1987, there were only six pandas in the place. Amazingly, these pandas were rescued from the wild. Who knows what would have happened to these innocent-looking animals if they were not rescued?
Ever since then until now, the facility has had more than 100 pandas. That’s just incredible!
Like other panda facilities, the goal of The Chengdu Panda Base is to ensure the pandas don’t go into extinction.
One of the ways they’ve achieved this goal is by partnering with many zoos all over the world to loan them their breeding pandas. Among their partners are National Zoological Park, Memphis zoo and Zoo Atlanta.
The zookeepers do an excellent job by ensuring the mammals reproduce and are well-fed with their favourite food, bamboo.

This live streaming cam is from the Wolong Panda Centre, in the Wolong Nature Reserve, China. The zookeepers’ goal is to carry out scientific research, breeding, and reintroducing pandas into the wild.
Don’t be surprised that the facility has a large bamboo farm of 680 acres for feeding the giant pandas. That’s how determined the organization is in ensuring the animals don’t go into extinction.
You should know that giant pandas eat a lot of bamboo every day. And they spend most of their days eating this plant which contains little to no nutrition. So, it is important to have a bamboo farm before considering adopting these adorable creatures.
